The Illinois Energy Now Program, administered by the Department of Commerce and Economic opportunity (DCEO), offers incentives for natural gas and electric efficiency projects to public (taxpayer-funded) entities and includes Standard and Custom incentives, as well as New Construction and Retro-Commissioning programs. Eligible public sector institutions include: K-12 public schools, community colleges, public universities, and local, state, and federal government. Nicor Gas customers who are eligible for participation in any of the DCEO program offerings are not eligible to participate in the Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program and must be served by the DCEO programs.
