General Requirements for All Rebates

  • Qualifying natural gas equipment must replace existing, natural gas equipment used for the same purposes, one for one.

  • Equipment additions to a residential dwelling, which are not replacing existing natural gas equipment, are not eligible for rebates.

  • Replacement equipment must be new. Resale equipment, new parts installed in existing equipment, or equipment that is leased, rebuilt, rented, received from insurance claims or won as a prize do not qualify.

  • Equipment must be installed by a professional contractor conforming to all applicable building, local and state codes, and manufacturer specifications.

  • New equipment must be installed and operational prior to requesting a rebate at the service address included on the rebate application.

  • Equipment must be installed in a single-family dwelling, or a multi-family dwelling of three units or less.

  • Equipment must be purchased and installed during the Program offering period, June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2014.

* Please note: ENERGY STAR qualified furnaces must have an AFUE of 95% or greater, effective February 1, 2012. Due to the change, products are no longer required to be ENERGY STAR qualified to be eligible for the $200 rebate for 92% to 94.9% AFUE furnaces. The requirements for the 95% or greater AFUE furnace remain the same.
